The typical picture of a Dirt Bike Safari in Dubai includes a snapshot of bikers driving off into an endless sand dune desert, with sand being kicked up, and with a mellow glow sunset background. It looks like a fun, extreme, and different kind of experience. But what will it actually feel like on the driving seat of the bike?

The life experience is multi-faceted with different components. It is about mastering a new skill, commanding a powerful machine, and establishing a harmony with the endless desert.

The Experience Begins: The Journey to The Desert Safari Bike Rental

The journey begins when we pick you up for your adventure. It is a rather gradual and enjoyable shift in visual scenery.

The Dubai Vista

The Dubai skyline is a notable high point which will be in the drivers window. Soon enough, the high buildings of the Dubai skyline will be a distant landscape in the rearview mirror. With the desert sand and red color of the landscape, we will shift to a quieter road within the Desert. Along with the warm, dry air is a desert. Sitting mentally arriving in the desert is a good time to leave the city behind.

The Welcome

Upon arriving at our desert location, you get settled in and enjoy some peace and organization. There are no starts and no delays. You are going to get a safety speech, and you need to be able to get on the bike and ride, and learn some communications hand signals to be able to ride with us. This is how we make sure you have a safe and amazing ride.

Getting to Know Your Bike & Gear

The dirt bike is the key to your experience. Learning how to ride one is the first step.

Your Ride for the Day

You are going to be on an enduro bike, built for deserts, not a racetrack. It has a soft suspension to help absorb the bumps, and a sand tire that is built to float on the sand rather than sink. It is a bike that is designed to help you.

Dressing the Part

We have protective riding clothing for you, a helmet, some goggles, riding gloves, and knee and elbow pads. Putting all of it on is a big moment. It is the moment that you transition from being a spectator into a fully-fledged rider. You definitely look the part, and once you make that transition, you will realize you are fully protected.

Your First Moments on the Sand

The adventure here starts. We begin in a wide, open area. This is your designated training area.

Finding Your Balance

You’ll begin by just becoming accustomed to the bike, which will feel a bit heavy at first. You will learn how the clutch and throttle operate, and the general rule is to take your time. In the sand, sudden movements will work against you.

The First Go

The bike will feel a little wobbly when you first turn the throttle. The back end is likely to slide a bit, and your guide will be encouraging you to relax and be smooth. Looking up will help you steady yourself. Calm down and adhere to the guideline, and in a few moments, you’ll feel the wobbly bike gaining momentum. You’ll get the feel of the bike in a few minutes.

Finding Your Rhythm: Getting In the Zone

You get the basics and we head out into the real magic of the dunes. This is where the real magic of the ride comes to life.

Reading the Dunes

The desert is a visual spectacle, and you’ll learn to appreciate how the sand is distributed. You’ll be able to identify the location of the finest and softest sand, and you’ll discover the best route up a steep dune, as well as the best descent. This is as revolutionary as learning to read a new language.

Using Your Body

You engage in a full-body workout while riding a dirt bike. You lean forward while going uphill to help the bike get a grip. You lean back when going downhill. You use your legs to help steering the bike. It feels as though the bike and you are dancing in unison.

The Feeling of Flow

Once you’ve reached the top of the learning curve, riding a bike becomes muscle memory. You stop overthinking and you are simply riding the bike while looking ahead, selecting a path to take in the dunes while coordinating your movements. It is a feeling of pure focus and freedom that we call ‘being in the zone.

The Quiet Moments: Seeing the Big Picture

Not just about speed, a great ride is about the moments we take to stop and just be.

The View from the Top

We stop with the engine off at the top of a high dune. It becomes deathly quiet. You can hear the wind and see for miles, a vast, uninterrupted landscape composed of countless dunes. You are given a moment of peace, that is, in a comforting way, quite humbling.

Description of taking some time to relax. These moments especially allow you to take the time to connect with your colleagues and talk to your tour guide. Everyone can have a good time and remember wobbly turns. Everyone had the opportunity to relish the unique experience that you have just had together.

Exploitation of the Emotional Situation: Exhausted and Satisfied

You have the opportunity to experience some emotions.

Exhausted and Satisfied

The ride is over, and the pleasurable exhaustion is replaced with the dull ache of tired limbs that result from a good workout.

A Clear Mind

All that focus on riding and other ways of taking control of your mind takes a break from the chaos of your day to day life. You are not going to be thinking about your emails, messages, or other mundane tasks of the day. Rather, you are going to examine and appreciate the incredible accomplishment you have just achieved. You will have a feeling of true satisfaction and possession of the memory.
